Brian Picl’s Expertise 15 years of operating public water and wastewater systems both remotely through SCADA, and physically onsite. I believe this has given me a unique perspective on operations. I was able to read trends, analyze data, and then prioritize my field operations and maintenance. Also took an interest in instruments, and became responsible for maintaining free chlorine and pH analyzers for dozens of public water systems. Was given the responsibility of standardizing our water quality instrumentation and installed over 30 new free chlorine and pH panels at our sites. After this I wanted to expand my knowledge of instruments and took classes on both closed pipe and open channel flow meters. Have since successfully installed and commissioned several electromagnetic and ultrasonic meters. My current project is replacing over 50 analog chemical scales with radar level transmitters. Working towards a Process Control Instrument Technology certificate from Joliet Junior College. Completed Credential in Ignition 8.1. Familiar with PI (Process Instrumentation). Fast learner. Self motivated. Pride in ownership.
