As faculty advisor of Gamma Theta Upsilon (GTU), the international geography honor society, 4 SUNY Plattsburgh students were initiated into the International Geography Honor Society in 2010. They are the most recent of more than 200 SUNY Plattsburgh students initiated into GTU during my tenure as faculty advisor. In 2006 awarded a Lake Champlain Sea Grant entitled, “Attitudes and Knowledge of Stakeholders about Double-Crested Cormorants and their Management on Lake Champlain and the St. Lawrence River,” Co-PI with David Capen and Walter Kuentzel of the University of Vermont. This is the latest of more than 40 funded grants and awards for research and planning from a diversity of international, national, state and local groups.
