My mission consisted of analysing the trading room activities, the different information systems that they used and the various errors that can manifest. Then I had to verify that the controls made by the operational personnel were enough to minimize the risks, creating new controls or improving the old ones where necessary. During the internship, I review all the process in place. I created new database in order to improve the control. This enables the operational to save 3 hours each day. Moreover, I managed to change the process in order to cover all the operational risks This internship enabled me to improve my analysis abilities and my datawarehouse knowledge, improved my ability to develop good working relationships with people and gave a first view of the dealing room. Amadeus is an IT provider for Airline. One of their software calculate the best way to fill the plan bunk. Solving this problem can be assimilated to solve an optimization problem under constraints. Due to problem more and more complex, the time needed to have the solution was rising sharply. My objective was to change this solver. First of all I looked on the internet to find the top of the art algorithm methods and to find the best solver adapted for their problem. Then I setup this solver and configured it. To finish I developed a new heuristic. This internship enabled me to improve my analytical skills, my computing and my mathematical competences, indeed these problems are based on high level of mathematics and computing. Also I improved my English writing, especially for writing a project report. Credit Suisse
