My current works are studying the roles of the newly identified KLF4-microRNAs signaling on carcinogenesis, cancer stem cell enrichment, in cancer cell metastasis and chemotherapy resistance. Current works are focusing on developing new therapeutic strategies for breast cancer in which tumor cells can be induced to die by treatment with “antagomiR”, a small RNA-based reagent designed to inhibit the activity of a specific microRNA in tumor cells.
