Chris Mullins’s Expertise In 2013, I joined MTT (now Travelport) which was then an exciting start up company with a total staff of 40, including a QA team of 1 resource, and operating out of the Digital Hub in Dublin. It was the ambition of the company and the challenge of defining the QA strategy and driving the growth of the QA team & quality processes that inspired me to take on the role of QA Manager. In my first 4 years at MTT, I built and scaled out a QA department of 45 engineers with 13 permanent resources (including QA Leads, Performance & QA Specialists and Automation Engineers) and 18 offshore resources in multiple locations. I've set out the QA Strategy, driving our quality processes and collaborating closely with my team who deliver high quality, world class, award winning apps. I was then asked to take over the Production Support department in late 2017. Managing a team of 20 support engineers, I introduced a new series of processes and reporting procedures as well as creating a strategy to improve the quality of our customer services and introduce a stream of enhancement initiatives. In 2020, I was asked to also manage the Data Migration team, which has been heavily involved in the company's drive to our new GDS platform Travelport+. I directed the testing of new migration tools, reporting, analytics, introduced formal procedures for migration and built out a full business continuity plan as well as hiring new resources and managing budgets. My expertise in Test Management and team leading has seen me deliver highly successful, large scale releases across a variety of industry types - localisation (Microsoft), telecommunications (O2 & eircom), education (HMH) and travel (Travelport) with an outstanding track record of value-add in QA and test process improvements and, more recently, Production Support and Data Migration.
