Once I became certified, I was allowed to judge a network design team competition in early 2017 for Business Professionals of America which is the exact same organization I was in when I received my certification. In the summer of 2016, I was chosen to be a part of a summer internship that my former high school was having as a student technician in which we troubleshot and installed hardware for teachers, staff, students and board members. We also installed and maintained all computer network components throughout various schools in our district. As of September 2017, I have been working as a student technician for The University of North Texas's College of Education in which we troubleshoot and installed hardware and software for COE staff and faculty. Since I come from a background in networking, I make my own networking cables on our non-busy days and teach my fellow employees how to make them as well.
