Christopher Poole’s Expertise I'm a believer in lifelong learning and being relentlessly curious and love that I'm able to blend those personal attributes with what I do day in, day out as a consultant. In college I studied psychology, with hopes of helping individuals in a one-on-one setting, but through consulting I found that I can work with companies to act with empathy, improving employee's experiences and lives in ways my younger self never could have imagined. Over the course of my consulting career I have been in both client-facing only roles as well as subject matter expert roles, where I support client-facing teams as well as lead strategic, industry-focused conversations. To effectively drive change I understand the importance of effectively listening to clients to understand the true problem that needs solving, and then partner with them to develop sustainable people practices and organizational structures that help people prepare for the future, achieve their career and personal goals and transition through various phases of life. I am a big believer in work/life balance and believe without finding purpose in both, you'll never be successful at either. As such, during the day you're likely to find me geeking out in Excel or PowerPoint or buried in research articles, but on any given weeknight or weekend you're more likely than not to find me at one of my son's various practices or games, taking my daughter to the park, trying to make it through one of my own soccer games injury free, or just enjoying time together as a family.
