I am also in charge of leading Lean 6 Sigma and process improvement projects pertaining my equipment. The plant runs 24/7 and makes over 7 million cans each day, so improper planning on my part could cause an unplanned shutdown resulting in the loss of hundreds of thousands of dollars. My previous roles within the plant and company have helped prepare me to take on the role as Plant Superintendent. As plant superintendent I am responsible for driving all aspects of the safe production of quality product. This includes working with management team to plan production, coordinate maintenance activities, ensure quality standards are met, and optimize the use of available resources. By looking at downtime and spoilage trends I can appropriately prioritize activities to keep efficient operations while factoring costs. I am responsible for scheduling for the entire plant, and I assume duties of the plant manager as needed. I graduated from Clemson in May 2021 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout my time at Clemson, I have become proficient in many different areas such as problem solving, the use of computer software, ethical responsibility, and engineering methods.
