  I graduated from University of Edinburgh in July 2018 with a Masters degree (2:1) in Structural Engineering with Architecture. Over the five year course I covered courses related to technical design, project management, construction management and fire safety engineering. In September 2018, I joined Atkins as a Graduate Structural Engineer in the Offshore Engineering team. I had completed two eight-week summer placements in the same team over my final two-years of university. At Atkins I worked on very interesting projects and was able to develop at an accelerated pace in relation to project and commercial management, for projects locally in the UK and globally in continental Europe and Asia. I gained technical experience working on various projects at levels from pre-concept to FEED, while gaining exposure to asset management and remidiation. I currently work for ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) as a Senior Structural Engineer. I started with SPR in July 2021 and since then have worked on the East Anglia Three project. I am the Primary Steel Lead, which means I am responsible for ensuring that the Primary Steel design is carried out in accordance with Employer Requirements and various offshore codes and standards. In addition to this I am involved in preparing a smooth transition into the Fabrication phase of the project. In addition to this I lead on foundation certification (design & fabrication) and structural health monitoring. It is also my duty as an Engineer to ensure the foundations achieve the appropriate standards of engineering, quality, best practice and HSE performance. Throughout my time at university, I held one part-time job, which gained many roles. I started with Fife Council as a Lifeguard/Leisure Attendant in September 2012 and maintained this role throughout the six-years I was there. Over time in the role, I developed further responsibility in obtaining my Level 1 Swim Teacher certificate to be able to lead and deliver swimming lessons to children and adults and taking on the role of Janitorial Services. Outside of university and working commitments, I have maintained an active lifestyle in keeping fit through attending the gym/home workouts, swimming and occasionally playing 5-aside football. I also enjoy playing golf when the weather is favourable, aside from this, I seasonally enoy participating in mud runs and hill walking.
