  Well after 30 years in the industry and learning a great career in the first 10 years at R F Winder (now Winder Power) followed by 20 years as owner and director at SPEC LTD (now part of the Ipsum Group) I’ve decided to step out of the industry which I loved so much following my recent year out and concentrate on myself and my family. The year out has taught me they is much more to life than the constant ping ping ping of emails, constant calls and work dramas. This as I’m sure all will agree is draining mentally but more on the thing we do this for ..... our family. I want to thank every client over the last 20 years for assisting with the creation of our specialist HV company that has become a brand name in the industry we work in but more to be recognised and respected enough to be bought out by the Ipsum Group in December 2017. I’ve experienced so many great clients and worked all over the world on some amazing projects with some amazing clients but time to say goodbye to grey boxes and red cables 😉. I’ve seen the industry and our brand change so much over the last 20 years mainly from been seen and respected as specialist technical organisation within a handful of competitors to now an industry which for me which is flooded with new start ups every month. I’m sure those that were brought up like me on the old BVP17 and PILC cables have seen the changes too and may have similar thoughts on how gone from been 1 in 10 to 1 in 1000 and competing against the much smaller start up companies.
