Dan Lomas’s Expertise I am Lecturer in Intelligence and Security Studies at Brunel University London. Previously I was Lecturer in International History at the University of Salford, specialising in UK intelligence and security since 1945, having completed research funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. My work has been published in peer review journals including The Historical Journal, Intelligence & National Security, The International History Review and the Journal of Imperial & Commonwealth History, and my monograph - shortlisted for the Royal Historical Society's Whitfield Prize - was published by Manchester University Press, titled Intelligence, Security and the Attlee Government – An Uneasy Relationship? I am currently writing on diversity and inclusion in the UK's intelligence agencies and have been contacted by Bloomsbury to write a new history of UK security vetting, due to be completed for Spring 2023. I am also co-authoring a history of Britain's Secret Intelligence Service.
