I did this on my own time and of my own volition. This turned into an annual event which I have continued here in Canada. The inaugural Winnipeg Fight for Charity event raised 22K for the Manitoba chapter of the Canadian Red Cross. The following year's event partnered with Pan Am Place and doubled the number of attendees and the amount raised, with nearly 800 guests and 43K raised. This year's event is set to grow even bigger and better, with some highly influential local sponsors on board, and will support Big Brothers Big Sisters Manitoba. In regards to my sport management experience, I was also hired contractually by the CFL to help organise the CFLAA Legends Luncheon as part of the 2015 Grey Cup Festival in Winnipeg. I have lived and worked in New Zealand and Australia, and have now settled in Canada with my Canadian wife.
