Darryl Beemer’s Expertise I am passionate about utilizing innovative engineering solutions to better our human condition, and am currently a mechanical test engineer at HP Inc. testing future printer technologies to enhance their performance and reliability. I get to test future print devices to and beyond their life under varying conditions and evaluate performance and any failures for continual improvement. This involves evaluation of firmware and hardware issues around performance and user experience. Additionally, I am the Community Outreach co-lead for the entire Boise HP Inc. site, working to unite the volunteer work of my colleagues. I also serve as a Search Technician for the Idaho Mountain Search and Rescue Unit. Additionally, I am continuing my efforts to develop outreach demonstrations for STEM education, including a demonstration of how printing works and a "water circuit" to use fluid flow to demonstrate how electrical logic circuits work. I completed my Master's of Science program researching water and ice-repellent surface materials. I have built experience in the energy industry working at the CSU Engines and Energy Conversion Laboratory over the past 3 years. My senior design capstone project was to develop a better heavy lifting technology for the Air Force Research Laboratory and, ultimately, Pararescue Jumper personnel.
