I was the CEO of that peak tourism and development organisation called the GAPDL and I have to admit I felt very blessed to be appointed such an important role. over a four year period our small but very able team attracted the cruise ship industry to Gladstone, delivered information in a new way to the drive tourism market, increased over night expenditure and visitation by double digits, and basically set Gladstone's course on its way to becoming a destination for tourism Since July 2019 we have purchased a 20 seat coach fitted with leather recliner seats and created a business called Gladstone Region Tours which fills an amazingly big gap in tourism experiences here in Gladstone. My focus is on economic development, waste, and infrastructure. My vision is to have a region full of abundance in opportunities in investment, wealth, and work opportunities.
