Dave Peterschmidt’s Expertise Dave Peterschmidt was the CEO and a board member of Ciber, a global IT consulting company from 2010-2014. With more than 35 years of experience in IT services, consulting, enterprise computing, as well as mobile and Internet solutions, Peterschmidt’s long-ranging experience includes CEO and member of the board at Openwave Systems from 2004 – 2007. There, he successfully increased cash flow, profitability and top-line revenues. Mr. Peterschmidt also directed the dramatic growth of Inktomi Corp. He joined the firm when it was a start-up and, as chairman of the board and CEO, he recruited a team that transformed the company into a leader in the Internet search and Web caching markets. He led Inktomi through its initial public offering and built the company to a valuation of more than 10 billion. He then presided over the company’s acquisition by Yahoo! in 2003. Prior to joining Inktomi, Peterschmidt served as COO of Sybase, Inc. Under his leadership, Sybase grew to more than 1 billion in annual revenues and employed 6,000 people. Peterschmidt also steered the company through the largest merger in the software industry at the time, which occurred when Sybase acquired Powersoft in 1995. He started his career at Electronic Data Systems , a pioneer in the IT services industry. Today, along with running Ciber, Peterschmidt serves on the board of Savvis ) and Limelight Networks . Additionally, he is member of the Northern California Electronics Executive Summit, an elite group of IT-industry leaders. His philanthropic activities include working on the executive committee to help raise 400 million for the expansion of Stanford University Hospital and supporting Judy’s House, a Colorado nonprofit that serves children grieving the loss of a family member. Mr. Peterschmidt also is the owner of Peterschmidt Ventures, a private company in Saratoga, CA, that was established in 2005.
