  Having been in the print and copy management field, starting whilst I was doing my HND at Leicester Polytechnic in 1986, I have worked from the ground up. Starting as a bench engineer, preparing hardware for installation and carrying out repairs then moving on to visiting customers to install and service the old paper based value on card devices from various industry manufacturers such as Intercard GmbH, Monitor Business Machines Ltd, Infineer (formerly ABS, Absec) and many others. Driving 85,000 miles a year back when the roads were a little clearer. Mentoring new engineers as they started was a highlight of my job back then and continues to be now whenever we have new people joining the company. Over the years I have been involved in installation (both hardware and, mostly these days, software), service, support, training (individuals to larger groups), pre and post sales support and sales both in the UK and Ireland. I have now switched roles at AIT Ltd to predominantly cover Sales in the South West, South Wales, based in Plymouth, but with forays into my previous Technical Solutions Specialist role.
