From 2006 to 2013, I also served as the Safety Director for NSWMA, and developed their safety program. I chaired the U.S. Department of Commerce's Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee's (ETTAC) Waste Management & Circular Economy subcommittee in 2020-22, and served on several New York City Advisory Boards providing guidance to City agencies on waste-related issues.
