David Jenkinson’s Expertise I am a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York with over 14 years of experience in the design of civil engineering infrastructure, with a primary focus on bridges. I currently work as a Bridge Design Engineer for Popli Design Group in Rochester, NY, and I previously worked for Mott MacDonald in the UK working on railroad and bridge design projects. I have extensive experience in the preliminary and detailed design of steel, concrete and timber bridges both in the UK and New York, and in the project management and coordination of bridge and culvert design projects. I have overseen the design of numerous bridge design projects from preliminary design through to the production of final design plans and specifications and the provision of construction support. I also have experience in writing proposals for projects, scoping of new projects and management and support of junior staff. I have worked on project with a range of clients, including NYSDOT, NYS Thruway Association and local municipalities. I am proficient in the use of many structural design software packages, including LEAP Bridge Steel, MDX and STAAD Pro. I am also experienced in the use of both AutoCAD and Microstation for the production of drawings and in all MS Office applications.
