  After a few years of severe underemployment, I have been hired by Lockheed Martin to participate in their electronics assembly apprentiship program. In addition I am currently (see note above) going back to school to earn my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. This is quite the departure from my previous career in HVAC service and repair. My associates degree is in graphics and animation technology, and I would love to work with graphics and compositing in a small production house or advertising agency. But I also have a fondness for computers and programming. So the degree I'm designing is “Interactive Software Design” to take advantage of both of these interests. I'm trying not to narrow down my prospects by getting a “Game Design” degree, though this is pretty smack dab at the intersection of computers and art. Interactive software includes anything intended to be interfaced with by a user, and so I take that to mean pretty much any graphic user interface.
