Davide Giardi’s Expertise I have always been passionate about medical research and innovation. I have had numerous experiences working in internationally renowned medical research laboratories focused on various interests. These different experiences have also built my managerial and leadership competencies. And interpersonal relationship skills other than allowing me to interact with varying work philosophies. Early in my career, I have been fortunate to find my passions and be able to focus on medical innovation and research. I started my career as a medical doctor and transitioned to innovation and research, first as a trainee and then at Mayo Clinic as a research fellow. There, I have led the development of our lab, designed experiments, and managed the correspondence with the FDA for clinical trial studies applications. I have worked for the Mayo Clinic innovation center, and I sought several opportunities that allowed me to generate Intellectual properties, disclosures, and patents, to brainstorm and supervise the process from creating a prototype to the commercialization pathway. I have also entertained relationships with medical device companies interested in co-developing projects and devices with our team. Being able to apply my medical knowledge, vision, and creativity toward innovation and healthcare improvement is my great passion. Specifically, I have been interested in the remote and non-invasive collection of physiological and pathological signs. I have developed a deep interest in the definition of AI algorithms to obtain a prediction of outcome or completely new diagnosis criteria. What motivates me is to be capable of applying knowledge and skills toward meaningful innovation in healthcare. I want to provide solutions that help people have a better quality of life, develop novel devices and technologies capable of anticipating signs of illness, and allow actions to correct the physiology before it becomes a pathology. I am committed to fostering a culture of inclusiveness, respect, trust, integrity, and empathy that I am convinced yields to the best possible working environment, allowing creativity to thrive.
