Deisy Jaimes’s Expertise I have been a nurse for a little over a year and absolutely love the nursing field. I received my Bachelors degree Nursing from Concordia University Texas. I chose nursing because it offers many opportunities and various fields to explore. I previously worked at UMCB as a Medical ICU nurse and gained more experience. The challenges and fast pace of the floor enhanced my critical thinking and time management skills. I also learned how to keep calm under stressful situations! I switched gears and currently work as a care team nurse for People's Community Clinic pediatric department. I love serving the community and working with my team to improve the health of our patients. I have gained experience in pediatric nursing and care management. I am also currently advancing my education pursuing an MSN in Leadership through Concordia University Texas. I am fulfilling my practicum hours at UMCB where I developed a project on Quiet Time. I implemented my project late 2016 and is currently in progress.
