I enjoy using medical nutrition therapy together with my strong motivational skills to help foster health in people I get the opportunity to work with. My graduate courses have helped prepare me to address the many chronic and complex pathologies seen in today's healthcare systems. They also helped me develop the necessary skills to asses at risk patients, develop and implement interventions, and monitor specific clinical outcomes. A large takeaway from college is understanding what information is available from the electronic medical record and what information needs to be gathered during the interview to help understand each individual patient. With a solid foundation and a desire for continued growth, I believe I would be a valuable asset to the healthcare system.
