Devon Mcclain’s Expertise I currently conduct nanomaterials research by using chemical vapor deposition (CVD), plasma enhanced CVD, and laser ablation techniques to synthesize nanoscaled materials including carbon nanotubes (CNTs), carbon nanoparticles, and semiconductor nanowires. Develop novel techniques for characterizing environmental effects on electronic nanodevices. Investigate the CNTs as transport channels for field effect transistors and the field emission properties of CNTs and nanowires as single electron field emitters and emitter arrays.
