Doug Kozak’s Expertise Doug has extensive experience leading successful disaster recovery and business continuity engagements. From 2006 to present, he led global Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity programs; ensuring all systems have documented, executable DR Plans; organized, scheduled, executed and evaluated DR/BC exercises; partnered with Executive and ‘C’ suite stakeholders developing, planning and executing DR/BC plans and exercises. From 2004 to 2006, he was Senior Consultant in the High Availability Practice of SunGard Availability Services, his primary focus was global financial/capital management clients. From 2001 to 2004, he was Director - Information Technology & Fixed Assets at the American Red Cross, where he grew Bergen-Hudson-Northern New Jersey IT infrastructure, increased reliability, stability, and resiliency; and constructed the organization’s first IT DRP. From 1996 to 2001, he was Senior Technical Consultant for Verizon Communications, analyzing disaster recovery requirements and constructing the corporate disaster recovery plan for customer billing and customer care processes. Doug is a member of Protect New York, NY Metro Chapter of the Association of Contingency Planners, and NYPD Shield. Doug has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Lehman College, CUNY. He holds a Masters degree in Disaster Science from the University of Richmond.
