Dylan Callaghan’s Expertise Having come from a mechanical background initially, I spent the last next 10 years in the corporate sphere, swapping overalls for suits and ties. Successfully learning a new ‘craft’ I moved from a primarily sales focus, to one of account management. I worked in the hospitality and then technology sectors. My versatility helped make this change and has proven my adaptability. The time has come for me to go back to my roots and engage with my passion for physical work and construction. To this end I have been involved in Event Management which means working back on site. Work including set construction, carpentry, rigging and assisting the sound technicians. I am now training to become a qualified electrician as this is where my interests lie and will be able to give me the best of all the worlds that I enjoy - variety is the key. I am currently completing my City & Guilds 2365 level 3. This will add to my already attained City & Guilds 2365 Level 2, 17th Wiring Edition and 2377 PAT testing qualifications. To start a new chapter as an electricians mate and hope to achieve full qualification within 18 months is my goal. Strong interpersonal skills and a great work ethic make me an asset to any team I work with. Whatever I lack for in knowledge initially will be more than covered by my enthusiasm and cross sectional scope of experience. I am looking for full employment by February 2017 once my studies are complete.
