Some of my career highlights include: - Opened the first social enterprise in the Irish Prison Service in 2015 in Loughan House, Cavan - Achieved the IBEC Keep Well mark in recognition of my leadership in staff wellbeing and developing initiatives - Introduced the weekly Parkrun in Mountjoy Prison for staff and people in custody, the first and only Prison to do so in Ireland - Developed the first smoke free wing in an Irish Prison - Presented the first ever TedX talk in an Irish Prison As a trusted and reliable leader I have both the skills, drive and determination to deliver significant and imaginative initiatives for any organisation. Mountjoy Prison is a complex and highly charged environment. As Governor with Statutory responsibility I am deeply committed to protecting and upholding the human rights and dignity of all people in our custody. I have a strong understanding of law as it applies to the custody of others. I am an excellent communicator and have extensive experience with media organisations across all platforms. I am also a Qualified Chef having studied Culinary Arts in Rockwell Hotel and Catering School from 1984 to 1986 Merchants Quay
