In both cases, I have been a consistent bar-raiser in terms of retaining and growing these accounts through building strong, broad relationships within customer contacts, providing them technical and commercial recommendations and insights, and firmly advocating for them internally to ensure any product, feature or support request is immediately prioritised. I care deeply about building relationships with internal partners - legal, marketing, finance, go-to-market, business intelligence, compliance, etc - and prioritises initiatives with them for mutual benefit. I believe firmly that in life, more is done with honey than with vinegar, and through empowering each other together. I unapologetically apply these principles to day-to-day work. I am a people leader and take incredible pride in the success of direct reports. I think big, have been first-to-market with complex services and features, and expect the same from peers and reports (doing all I can to support them). I am extremely passionate about culture-creation and corporate citizenship. I have created from scratch org-wide employee engagement programmes to boost staff job and manager satisfaction metrics at both American Express and Amazon. At Amazon, following programme launch, org metrics soon exceeded those of the wider company. I have also sat on the Women@ Committee at American Express and am a Founder Member of the DEI EU Committee within Amazon Pay, organising a number of initiatives to help drive a culture of inclusiveness.
