Fabian Nguyen’s Expertise A journey from a movie director in NYC to business to development cooperation. My parents were boat people from Vietnam. While pursuing the goal of telling their stories to support and raise awareness on the struggles of refugees, I produced movies and documentaries in order to tell meaningful stories. I won awards and my short films were shown at movie festivals. As part of telling meaningful stories, I have also stayed on the streets of NYC to experience homelessness first-hand in order to be able to understand their views better and to raise awareness for them. As my journey continued on leaving an impact in the world, the journey led me to KfW Development Bank - the financial development cooperation by the German government where I am currently responsible for Ukraine. I strive to create more impact in my life, e.g. via my work in InkuA, a talent incubator and project accelerator. Our mission here? Democratizing work experience while working on impactful projects - no matter where you are in the world. A favela in Brazil? A rural township in Kenya? A fisher's village in Vietnam? No problem!
