For example using technique called Test Driven Development (TDD) allows me to be sure that code is really covered, is simple as possible (because TDD includes refactoring as a one of final step) and it well documented. So even newcomers can quickly figure out how project organized and I can sleep in peace. For frontend javascript is the best! I prefer to use VueJS/Vuex or React/Redux in combination with webpack and cypress. It allows to write efficient modern applications with good architecture. Also I found typescript is a great alternative for JS because I have experience with compiling languages such as C/C++ and I know how the static types saves my time) Shiphawk
