  Since graduating technical college I have spent the majority of my career in the baking industry. I began my career as a Maintenance Mechanic and held that position for 9 years. During that time I worked with many different types of packaging equipment, such as flow wrappers, vertical baggers, and natural gas fired ovens, as well as a variety of other equipment. I later accepted a position as a Controls Technician, and took on the roles and responsibilities of maintaining and developing the controls platforms of all the equipment within the facility. This was a very challenging position in that industrial controls seemed to be ever changing. I held this position for a total of 3 years, and worked with some of today's most common controls such as Allen Bradley, and Rockwell software, along with many other integrated controls platforms. Most recently I accepted an Engineering Director position and manage multiple facilities and a host of Project Engineers and Managers within the HFS network. I along with my team design and develop projects within the facilities for new customer products, as well as improvements to existing production lines. My team and I work closely with the internal plant teams and supply chain to improve upon existing production lines in the form of cost savings, and higher productivity. The experience that I have gained since I began in this industry has given me the ability to succeed at whatever challenges come my way.
