Greg Gapp’s Expertise As Business Development and Operations Leader, I explore ways to expand our operations and take our educational idea to a broader public, so more students have more opportunity to take part in the Silkwood Way. Silkwood is an independent, private, government-accredited school located in a stunning bushland setting in the Gold Coast Hinterland. The school caters for children from Prep to Year 12, and offers a Playgroup experience for 15 month to 4 year olds. The Silkwood Way is a credible education choice for parents who seek an innovative learning environment that challenges traditional schooling to enhance student learning. The government's traditional way of thinking about education has had its day, and we need to look differently at how we support students to access 21st century future learning. We've almost lost a generation of people to an old system of education, and if we don't change our practices, this will continue. My long-term vision is to take what we do at Silkwood to other countries and sectors of the community, to support their growth with similar pathways. HOW I HELP: ► Deliver leadership coaching across the school ► Form partnerships with like-minded educational facilities throughout the world ► Centralise operations, systems and processes across departments ► Submit capital quotes for funding applications for building construction Passionate about supporting people to uncover and live by their own personal vision, I have delivered over 15 practical training sessions to based on Stephen Covey’s ‘7 Habits’. With an upbringing by parents who were doctors and set up clinics and training in third-world countries, I’m known as affable, approachable, positive, self-aware and altruistic. When I’m not working, you’ll find me doing a fitness challenge such as the Gold Coast Kokoda Challenge or Tough Mudder, travelling or on a hiking holiday, or having conversations about leadership, thought processes and the future.
