Gregory Haddock’s Expertise Greg Haddock came to Northwest in 1996 as an assistant professor and was promoted to associate professor in 2003. He served as department chair of geology/geography from 2002 to 2010. He has taught a variety of courses in the geography and geographic information sciences programs, including Maps and Map Interpretation, Spatial Analysis and Geostatistics, and Digital Image Processing. Greg Haddock earned his bachelor of arts degree in music and geography at Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Va., in 1990. He earned his master of science and doctor of philosophy degrees in geography at the University of Idaho in 1993 and 1996. His research focused on geographic information systems and environmental modeling. Expertise included programming in C in the HP/UX operating system including writing and interfacing software libraries and APIs within the ARC/INFO GIS environment. Examples of professional service at Northwest include serving and leading several faculty committees. In 2002-2003 he was president of the faculty senate.
