Hussain Khan’s Expertise I am currently in the market job hunting.i was last part of the Service Engineering Mainframe Scheduling Team performing all required roles and fulfilling all expectations of a mainframe TWS scheduler. I have been heavily involved in the separation project between Barclays and ABSA, and ensuring that ALL Scheduling Skills were met. Since the separation from Barclays to ABSA I have been instrumental and a critical member of the projects team handling Integrated Software Releases (ISR), from planning, prep work, executing and reviewing. Since October 2018 till 12 October 2019 I have participated in all ABSA has executed. I come from a IBM background with over 14 years in operations and scheduling with them. I have attained a level of skills that is not available to most as IBM is the software creator and owners and we first hand users. I provide Technical support for all my employers’ customers/ Users to enable their applications to run efficiently, identifying and recommending area for improvements, applying a proactive approach. I am support and implementer of production changes for BAU, execute application recoveries and apply application fixes in line with the supplied instructions. I have Setup OPC Applications, Schedules, Dependencies and critical paths, as supplied by Applications and advise Applications on changes/enhancements to supplied operator instructions. My input and skill is part of the optimization of the organization’s batch to ensure all SLA’s are met in accordance to the business. I monitor Change requests through the process which has been agreed between Applications Support and Service Management. I assume responsibility for owning problems and ensure that problems are resolved within the agreed timeframe and no problems are closed without RCA (Root cause analyses) being completed. I identify problem areas, document findings, use this developing effective corrective action plans. I partake in knowledge sharing with other team members and by this help with the upskilling of not just myself but team members as well.
