Ian Forrester’s Expertise In 2018 there were around 9000 diabetes related amputations in the UK and of the 6 million patients treated for chronic pain with opioids (many Diabetics) around 6% (240,000) became addicted! In 1978 I had diabetes diagnosed and despite taking care in diet and lifestyle by 2008 my foot health was rapidly declining with poor circulation and intense neuropathic pain. This could easily have deteriorated into ulceration and possible amputation. The NHS offered no effective remedies. My wife found a possible remedy in the USA.This was an electronic muscle stimulation device. We eventually bought one and it radically and measurably improved my foot health in a matter of two/three weeks. Enormously impressed by this I began licence negotiations with the Inventor of the device which led in 2009 to the formation of Neurocare Europe Limited which now builds the device in the UK and markets in Latin America, The Middle East and Europe.. In the UK working with individual clinics notable successes have included healing stress fractures in a lady international rugby player ,healing a diabetic foot ulcer in a 90 year old man which had endured for around 20 years, banishing lower back pain permanently, knee replacement patients rapidly recovering full mobility and others all documented by HCPs This technology can treat a whole variety of conditions where accelerating local circulation and improving muscle condition are keys to a successful outcome. It also has very strong supporting clinical evidence. With NHS clinicians reporting at conferences that it takes a proven innovation already in use elsewhere some 17 years to enter the NHS we clearly have some way to go but we shall persevere for ourselves and for those currently living with incurable leg ulcers, the ladies (and Gents) who leak!, those who after joint surgery never recover full mobility, those in chronic pain and many others whose quality of life will be transformed.
