Ian Lowry’s Expertise I’ve recently been charged with establishing and leading Powerlink’s Major Projects division, responsible for the development and delivery of large scale transmission projects or programs of work exceeding 500 million. At present the Major Projects division has accountability for around 8 billion of transmission projects in various stages of execution, including key stages of the Queensland SuperGrid and CopperString 2032. Leading the work to develop and build transmission infrastructure required to support the transformation of Queensland’s energy sector and its broader economy is something I’m incredibly proud of, along with the talented and passionate team I get to work with every day. My prior experiences reflect my love of challenging leadership roles in complex environments, including: - network regulation (revenue proposal development) - investment planning and assessment - asset management strategy & planning - network investment planning - contract negotiation and network customer management - work program delivery and management. When not at work I am an avid reader, proud husband and father of two confident and headstrong kids, dog lover, infrequent (but keen) cyclist and half decent golfer.
