NWL have adopted the NEC suite of contracts and I have exposure to NEC since 2000 and using the knowledge I have gained I provided a book review for the ICE Publication NEC3 A User’s Guide. External to NWL I was the Chairman of the North East Branch of the APM from 2010 to 2012 during which time individual regional membership increased by 13% from 435 to 490 members. I delivered presentations to companies to enhance the regional profile of the Association and to explain the routes that are available to support the development of their project managers and project management capability and in the same timeframe our regional corporate membership trebled from 6 organisations to 18. Away from the workplace I am married with two young children who take up most of my free time. Most of my other interests relate to sports and I enjoy running to keep fit. I am also a keen tennis player and in addition to being first team captain of New Silksworth Tennis Club I am a fully qualified coach.
