This passion has lead me down an unplanned, though, enjoyable path of employment in the Outdoor Specialty Industry. With my experience in the outdoors, leadership training, and mathematical background, I was hired for the position of Retail Buyer at Midwest Mountaineering, the 2010 Outdoor Retailer of the Year, awarded by Backpacker Magazine and SNEWS. In spring of 2020, I graduated with a degree in Applied Studies at the University of Minnesota. This degree is built off of my prior AerE education at Iowa State and courses that align with my current career path. My current job is as an engineer at Buhler, a Swiss company. I help design and implement chocolate making machines for customers like Hershey, Lindt, Ghirardelli, and more. I also help other teams with projects outside of my chocolate department. Buhler
