After graduating from U of L, I took a position with Burroughs (now called Unisys), as a sales and service technician for a variety of check processing equipment, including on-site check printing systems. Excelled at that position as well, and was promoted to District Service Manager; I had 10 sales reps. and 4 service reps, that I indirectly and directly supervised. At the time, four of my five brothers had moved to Orlando, FL, and invited me to come down, and search for a job there. I sold and serviced copy machines for Monroe Systems of Winter Park, FL, for a brief period. I then went to work for Audio Visual Innovations, out of Tampa, in the Orlando office. I became the top salesperson, not only at this dealership, but also for the manufacturer of my primary product, called the Merlin Express-a type on tape machine, the size of current day laptops, (in the late 1980's), made by a company called Varitronics Systems.
