Overall, the core objectives of the Commissioning Course are: - To develop commanders of courage and willpower, with the temperament for decisive action in difficult and dangerous circumstances. - To foster attitudes to integrity, selflessness and loyalty which set the soldier apart from others - To teach Officer Cadets how to think and communicate as commanders and to foster a deep interest and care for the individual. - To achieve a grounding in British Military Doctrine and its significance in all forms of conflict. -To encourage the analysis of strategic and war studies as a foundation to military thought and wisdom. -To train Officer Cadets in the skills and battlefield disciplines of soldiering. The Commissioning Course is accredited by various academic and professional institutions.Working on a complete review and upgrade of the Accounts Receivable process at North Yorkshire County Council as part of a wider all-encompassing business change programme involving a technical upgrade to Oracle Finance System, and people and processes change management programme to increase efficiency and decrease costs of the finance function.A role that gave me early responsibility and placed large emphasis on personal development. This role enabled me to experience working within the department of Constitutional Affairs and Policy Support, but also gave me significant experience in Press Office, Ministers’ private offices and within the legal department.LDOs work wherever the Army is based and provide officers and soldiers with the military knowledge and functional skills required to be effective in their job and to progress in their careers. LDOs deliver Command, Leadership and Management courses to officers and soldiers and deliver and assure Army Instructor Development. ETS officers deliver professional developmental education to soldiers and officers worldwide as Learning Development Officers (LDOs) and in Army Education Centres (AECs) in the following principal categories: Functional Skills (FS), delivering English and Maths through Basic Skills Development Managers and enabling soldiers to gain recognised Functional Skills qualifications which are requirements for promotion. D Ed Cap is responsible for both FS policy and delivery with work currently underway to develop ICT as the 3rd Functional Skill. The Command, Leadership and Management (CLM) Scheme, providing educational and vocational skills and knowledge for Junior NCOs, Senior NCOs and Warrant Officers, preparing them for the responsibilities of promotion. Officer Career Development, involving elements of the Junior Officer Leadership Programme (JOLP3), Military Analysis (MA) modules and the Captains’ Warfare Course (CWC).A fast track graduate management scheme intended to develop graduates into successful senior managers within the corporate & retail bank. This role involved continuous self-driven improvement and management experience as well as performance analysis and developing creative improvement techniques.
