James Speed’s Expertise I started in IT when I enlisted in the US Navy. I held a Top Secret Security clearance and graduated (Radioman) RM "A" School. After 4 years I was Honorably discharged then started an Interconnect company selling Key Telephone & PBX systems. I hold certifications on Northern Telecom, Vodavi, InterTel, Nitsuko system. In 1983 I diversified into repairing & selling PC's, we had 2 offices, 2 cities. We expanded to pay telephones mid-1980s. We started building and installing Servers in businesses and maintaining corporate networks for many of our existing Telephone system customers. After 19 years I sold the company for a profit and accepted a Management position in Information Technology. I am a Microsoft Certified Professional and Registered Microsoft OEM Systems builder. I build Exchange Servers, Web servers, VMWare ESXi hosts that run Citrix XenApp 7.15 and 1912LTSR. My strength lies with all Microsoft OS's. I've engineered our backup and recovery system (Unitrends). I developed the IT Disaster Recovery policies for Hospitals and Private Industry. I engineer and build all types of IT infrastructure& systems. I've worked with Healthcare IT for many many years including various Radiology PACS systems. I have managed and designed multi-office data and Telco connections for various corporations. I am very familiar with the Unisys ES7000’s ( with Server Sentinel), HP Blade, Racked servers. I work daily with HP Rack mounted servers and multiple HP 2052 SAN and other NAS datastores. I've done Network Fiber migrations, installing FA's in servers and configuring Brocade Fiber switches for connectivity. I have expertise with many Cisco products including PIX515e's, ASA 55X Firewalls, Gigabit Cisco Switches & Network Management. I have engineered large IT & Telco wiring projects in nursing homes, multiple car dealerships and large real estate offices. Currently we use RSA server 8.3 for 2-factor authentication with both hardware & software tokens and complex passwords, we are now migrating to MFA. I design Databases and have worked with Access VB for years. It's not easy to condense 30+ years of Telecom and Data experience into a few paragraphs. I saw the Telcom Industry deregulation and started working with 1A2 multi line phone systems then digital ones. I experienced the start of the Information Tech industry that we now know when DOS 2 was the OS for PC's utilizing 8086 & 8088 CPU's.
