I have been gainfully employed here since 2015, during my Junior year Co-op at Wentworth Institute of Technology. I embarked on my career here assisting in airfield lighting design, but presently I do more power distribution systems for buildings and laboratories. I achieved my undergraduate degree at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, and am appreciative for the experiences and skills it has provided. My senior design project at Wentworth was focused on Radio Frequency Energy Harvesting, where my teammate and I created an antenna and a multi-step circuit to harvest ambient propagating radio waves from the Prudential tower; conditioned the energy, and used it to power a small watch. Our circuit consisted of rectifying the wave received, impedance matching the circuit to the antenna for maximum power transfer, a voltage boosting circuit, and a voltage storage element. Once the project was designed, constructed, and working we put together a patent application report. Although our project had no patentability, the experience in this area was invaluable information. I am an electrical engineer by education and trade, but am an automotive enthusiast by nature. Mechanical engineering has always captivated me and I do my best to personally educate myself in that manner as much as I can.
