Jason Bridge’s Expertise My name is Jason Bridge, and I am a 32-year-old photographer from the greater Pittsburgh area. I originally went to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida to attain my bachelor's degree in aeronautical science. While at the school, I learned that this was not something that I would like to do for the rest of my life as I knew I would like a family and didn't want to constantly be away and miss all those moments in life. I left after 3 semesters with a 3.0 GPA. I then went to Oakbridge Academy of Arts in Lower Burrell where I attained an associate's degree in photography. While there, an instructor, Scott Spangler, noted my drive and passion and recommended me for a freelance position with the Tribune-Review in Greensburg. That led to the next 4 years working, at times, 7 days a week. I took in every experience I could to learn more and more. After 4 years there, I interviewed at their sister paper, the Valley News Dispatch, and was hired shortly after. I have worked full-time there ever since. While working at both of these positions, I have also freelanced photographing sports on the side. I never let either work conflict with the other and kept things separate.
