She has investigated brick masonry walls, EIFS, reinforced concrete structures, terra cotta building facades, adhered masonry veneer, windows, curtain walls, and high-rise thin stone cladding veneer construction. These investigative projects frequently involve repair design, construction document preparation, and construction observations and adminstrations. Ms. Wu has also been involved in many air/water leakage investigation projects and performed field water penetration testing of exterior building components based on standards developed by ASTM International (ASTM), the American Architectural Manufacturer’s Association (AAMA), and unique procedures developed for specific projects. Ms. Wu has also been involved in exterior envelope consulting services of various new construction projects focusing on interface detailing, water penetration, air infiltration, and condensation issues related to the exterior facade elements such as windows, curtain walls, masonry veneer wall system, metal panels, EIFS, precast concrete panels, and roofing/waterproofing systems. This has included developing and performing practical test programs related to facade mock-ups and quality control during construction. Following testing, Ms. Wu provides assistance to the design and construction teams to resolve any problems observed during testing and prevent them from occurring in the future.
