Jeff Wildman’s Expertise Growing up I was always creative. I loved Lego's. Building, designing, fitting and of course stepping on them in the middle of the night, OUCH, but being creative is what I do. My technology career started with creating happy customers by solving their computer issues at a local PC repair shop in 1999. Things really started to take off when I joined WhitePages.com as IT Administrator in 2003. The company grew and I was honored to be able to grow with it. In 2006 I was promoted to IT Manager and I went from creating technical solutions to creating an environment where employees could succeed. I defined policies and built a network that encouraged grow and I did it by listening to the people who use it. The company went from about 40 people when I started to 150 people during my tenure. At VoiceBox as Director of IT I got to work with cutting edge voice and intent recognition technologies. For example, I built a half million dollar server cluster for building voice models and get to work with specialized servers for DNN (Deep Neural Network) language model training. So much cool stuff!!! I'm now at Oracle rehoning my technical skills supporting our speech service. Using Kubernetes, Docker and all the things needed to support large scale deployments. I still create but no more stepping on Lego's in the middle of night!
