Jeremy Pointer’s Expertise Presently the Director of Facilities & Special Projects for Silverwood Theme Park. This is a new position in a new division for the park and at this time my role is very dynamic. The work culture at the park is second to none and I have the privilege of working with a talented staff with a host of skills. We are in the business of making smiles and memories for several hundred thousand families annually and I am truly blessed to be a part of this team. Helped to build the Core Network for Ziply Fiber, this includes testing and acceptance of dark fiber followed by installation provisioning of DWDM equipment. This is a hybrid network comprised of ADVA FSP 3000 and Ciena Waveserver Ai equipment deployed in a robust ring topology to deliver 400G services over redundant spans reliably. My current responsibilities include expanding our footprint by turning up new spans in Washington, Idaho, Oregon and Montana and daily maintenance and operation of our 400+ node network. Prior to being acquired by Wholesail Networks I was a Field Engineer responsible for design, deployment and maintenance of microwave and fiber optic networks. I had the pleasure of working with the dedicated staff at Noel Communications Inc. My career in electronics began with intensive training in the USAF . As a Ground Radio Communications Journeyman I maintained ground, satcom and tactical communications for the 17th & 18th fighter squadrons in Misawa Japan.
