  I am proud to hold over 10 years of IT experience working in numerous roles within the Higher Education sector. I started out my career in IT after graduating from college when I enrolled on an apprenticeship scheme for two years. This is where I achieved industry IT qualifications and certifications. The scheme granted me a temporary contract at the Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) within the second line IT service delivery team. This position allowed me to develop my practical IT and customer service based skills. My enthusiasm and dedication within this temporary role allowed me to achieve a permanent position at MMU as an IT Advisor, followed by Senior IT Advisor two years later and then most recently I became an IT Professional.   For the most part of my career, I have delivered second line IT support for the University. This provided me with the hands on experience as well as the ability to gain a broad understanding of the University structure and IT systems. I contributed to delivering a large number of projects whilst working within service delivery, providing me with technical challenges that ultimately resulted in the capability for me to naturally progress into third line IT support.   I am currently a member of the End User Computing team within Infrastructure and Operations at the University. This highly diverse and technically challenging role allows me to fully demonstrate my skill set I have developed over the years, but also allows me to deliver new and innovative solutions to ensure that the University is able to keep up with ever changing pace of end user compute technology. As the technical lead for the Unified Endpoint Management project, I play a key role in developing solutions that improve the delivery of mobile devices to customers. Utilising modern deployment methods such as Microsoft Autopilot changes the way we can provision devices, offering a more fluid setup experience for our members of staff.   My role requires me to have extensive knowledge of using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Active Directory, Group Policy Management and Endpoint Manager. To demonstrate my skills in all of these areas I annually build and maintain the Windows OS platform, deployed to University managed devices. I also distribute Windows OS feature updates periodically to some existing managed devices, ensuring that our estate is always OS compliant.   I am very passionate and enthusiastic towards IT and digital trends; I am always seeking opportunities to demonstrate and to enhance my skill-set at every opportunity.
