I began my journey in as an electrical apprentice in a family owned and operated electrical contracting business 30 years ago in 1984. I completed my apprenticeship of the residential and industrial fields in 1992 becoming a Registered Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician. In 1993, while working as an industrial electrician in power plants for the IBEW, I obtained a position as a 2nd shift molding technician at Polaroid Corporation. After working through several manufacturing positions to learn the business manufacturing using automation and controls, I obtained a manufacturing electricians position supporting production and supporting engineering in the development of new automation. In 1995 I became a Registered Massachusetts Master Electrician. in additon to taking training of PLC based technological platforms. After leaving Polaroid in 2000 I worked in the aircraft and biotech industries before obtaining a position in 2002 as an Industrial Electrician for The Gillette Company North America R&D facility in Needham MA. After the acquisition of The Gillette Company by Procter & Gamble in 2005, I maintained my position as Industrial Electrician until transitioning to a manufacturing position at P&G Gillette World Shaving Headquarters as an Electronics and Instrumentation Technician, Embrace Value Stream in 2007.
