I am a firm believer that Safety needs to come first in all aspects of a workers job task at hand especially in the HRW, High Risk Work Industry. Constantly I am confronted with Health & Safety situations which can be avoided and safe working systems which could/need to be improved. Risk Management including Take 5's, SWMS, Safe Work Method Statements and JSA's are imperative to eliminating or sufficiently controlling risks before the are exposed to us workers. After being exposed to these High Risk practices I have learned that I genuinely have passion and desire to help people. Helping people is a source in helping my self! I am happy to say that I am now currently studying and surrounding my current and future steps for a career in the WHS Industry. I am subscribed to SIA, SAI, Safety Culture and numerous organisations to better my understanding and knowledge of WHS and Legislative change. I will continue to study once I have completed my WHS Diploma as I believe it is never too late to study. I am hoping to land a position as a WHS Junior Officer/Coordinator so that I can use my real life Hands-On experience to contribute to the drive in ensuring workers get home in the same state that they arrived to work in.
