  Having a passion for helping people resolve problems and finding solutions, it took some time for the specialist and somewhat niche area of sports mediation, ADR and consultancy to present itself to me. Upholding a strong resolve in the importance of a duty of care to others has been perceived as a weakness by some in such a competitive, combative and lucrative industry. HOWEVER, this led to others recognising me as an informed problem solver, often acknowledged as the only sensible voice (of reason) in a room…. thus, opening the door as a specialist sports mediator and consultant where disputes are increasingly common, if not increasingly expensive. With many years experience as a sports agent, sports coach/manager and sports administrator, I possess the experience and empathy to recognise and understand many of the issues and problems that impact on those employed in the sports industry and which often lead to disputes and misunderstandings. This experience and approach, also led to me being engaged in a consultative capacity on football agent matters with many sports governing bodies and associations including FIFA, The FA and the AFA – as well as consulting with officials at Parliamentary and Government level on sports governance issues. In addition to the long-standing consultation and campaigning undertaken on aspects of sports governance such as sports and football agent regulations, I was approached to assist in the consultation process for new football agent regulations by FIFA and a national football association. This specialist knowledge of football agent regulations and aspects of the industry allows me to offer evaluative mediation solutions (in addition to ‘facilitative’ mediation) to matters related to football agent activity; as well as consultant services related to football agent activity.
