Jonathan Vimont’s Expertise I have always been accused of thinking ahead, I believe in planning ahead, it is imperative in today's business climate. I will continue to work as hard as I can to achieve the objectives Sinch leadership and my Product Team has formulated. When things change I will adapt. My goal is every day to do the best I can with the tools in my pocket and to motivate others to do the same. Specialties: I have spent my entire adult life in mobile communications. It started way back in the mid 80's while still in H.S. where I spent my summers installing the 1st generation analog carphones working with my stepfather who was a part owner at GTE Mobilnet. I saw and participated in the evolution of this industry from the ground floor. I burned 16prong nams into suitcase sized trancievers and tested their performance on what was then state-of-the art Marconi cell site simulators. I was there for the 1st bag-phones, the Motorola DynaTAC handsets. I worked as a mobile tech when Bell lit up TDMA (D-AMPS). After college I joined the Army and worked my way up the ranks to NCO & Team Chief running a comms team in 112th Special Operations (ABN) with some of the very best Commercial off-the-shelf gear available. I was overall responsible and the SME for over 18M USD in the very best next generation secure tactical comms gear. We could deploy anywhere in the world in 36hrs and support a battalion with fully inclusive, secure, voice and data network. Held TS-SSBI. After my tour ended I did and have been doing the same thing in the civilian sector. I am mission oriented, self motivated and forward thinking. Skills that quickly landed me a job at Ericsson during the glory days in R&D. I ran the TAC team and Product for DWOS a 1st of its kind DAS solution. I later ran test cases for Sony Ericsson in an operational lab doing software QoS for prototype handsets. I know RF theory and propagation and have formal training in air interface systems and cell site planning. I know Mobile. I was offered a role very early on in A2P Messaging and it is here I have stayed. I have worked thru and been the principal negotiator in buying/selling Tier 1 Messaging Aggregator assets. I now have +16 years experience in Sales and Account Management, Marketing, Support, Compliance, Supplier/Operator Relations and now A2P Product. The mobile industry is a tough place to be today, things move fast, you have to work hard, fully commit and take chances.
